We have an urgent need for volunteers!
Most volunteer shifts are two hours or less, so you'll still have plenty of time to enjoy Trails & Trilliums!
Here is a brief description of the responsibilities involved with each volunteer opportunity:
Set-up and Site Management: Assist with setting up tables and chairs, hanging signs, and organizing the site.
Registration/Information: Welcome participants, answer questions, check attendees off a list, collect payments, give directions.
Hike Central: Welcome hikers and check names off a list, provide information, help organize hikers into carpools or walking groups.
Parking and Traffic Management: Assist with directing traffic and parking.
Friends of South Cumberland State Parks: Provide information about FSCSP, enroll new members, sell merchandise.
Children's Activities: Assist with hands-on wildlife, building fairy houses, building forts, and other children's activities.
Meal Hospitality: Greet people, collect meal tickets, hand out lunch boxes to those going on hikes.
Clean-up and Site Management: Assist with putting away tables and chairs, taking down signs, and general clean-up of the area.
Please contact Raymond at [email protected] with questions.

About Trails & Trilliums
Trails & Trilliums is a weekend-long naturalist rally, put on by the Friends of South Cumberland State Parks and sponsored by Lodge Cast Iron. Headquartered at the Beersheba Springs Assembly in Beersheba Springs, Tn, the festival offers a slate of guided hikes and nature-themed presentations and workshops. A native plant tent is one of the primary vendors, along with other unique crafters.
Young naturalists will enjoy two days of Free Family Fun with hands-on outdoor activities.
The weekend kicks off with a Hootenanny & Cookout on Friday night and on Saturday evening Wine & Wildflowers, a wine and cheese reception sponsored by Tower Community Bank.
Activities will take place rain or shine.
All events are on Central Daylight Time.

Tennessee Naturalist Information
We are excited about hosting the first state TNP gathering as part of the Trails & Trilliums naturalist rally, hosted by the Friends of South Cumberland State Park. We have one of the eleven TNP chapters. All current and past TNP participants are invited, and we hope you will bring your friends.
Registration For TNP Early Bird Registration opens February 12 and Open Registration begins a week later. All TNP participants and alumni are eligible to register during this first week, giving you first shot at the presentations and hikes you want (many have space limits).
Earn TNP Continuing Education (CE) Credit
90% of the Trails & Trilliums offerings have been pre-approved as CE credit. When you register, look for hikes and presentations marked TNP CE. You can pick from over 35 guided hikes and select from 50 workshops, author talks and AV presentations on a wide array of nature topics: wildflowers, geology, birding, mosses, mushrooms, native plant gardening, cave art, moths, hydrology, trees, and more. For those interested in continuing with TNP, you can earn CE hours each year. Current participants can accumulate CE hours before completing your intro course.
Volunteering
In a few weeks, we will post a volunteer signup on this website. You can select the days/shifts/activities you want to volunteer for.
